Mildred and Strawn drive to the wilderness and to the place where the Canterbury Panther was known to be seen. Strawn and Mildred set up a camping spot for themselves. Strawn sets up the campfire and goes fishing with Mildred. After a while they hear rustling sounds and Strawn feels like they’re being watched. The rustling stops and Strawn says “Mildred to get inside the tent now!” They run to the tent as fast as they can. Strawn looks to see if it’s safe and after a while he tells her to come out and eat once he’s finished cooking. They head off to sleep but after some time Mildred wakes up to a big storm. Strawn wasn’t inside the tent and next she heard gunshots so she ran and hid in a bush where she saw him and the Canterbury Panther.

Strawn starts shooting even more at the beast but he keeps missing. Mildred starts shaking in fear and after a while Strawn doesn’t have any bullets left and he starts looking around. He saw Mildred scared and hiding in the bush which distracted him and the panther attacked, biting off Strawn’s arm. Mildred was so scared she sat there in fear and then ran back to the tent. The panther was chasing her and she found a gun and as the panther leapt at her she pulled the trigger, BANG. She felt a big thud on her lap. It was the panther. She got up, rang the ambulance and police and told them what happened. She was with a dead panther who had bitten off one of her Dads arms. The police and the ambulance came to take Mildred and her father to the hospital. Mildred got the $50,000 reward and paid for her Mum and Dad’s treatment
